Tour Itinerary & Highlights
Note: This is a suggested itinerary – we can customize based on your preferences.
- Your experience begins when your private luxury vehicle and tour guide pick you up at your hotel to take you to Downtown / Lower Manhattan.
- As you drive towards your destination, your guide will point out popular attractions in the area including the Brooklyn Bridge, Trinity Church, the Oculus, the FDNY Memorial Wall and more.
- Upon arrival at the 9/11 Memorial, you’ll tour the grounds where you’ll encounter the two reflecting pools created to honor those we lost on that fateful day. Among the other things you’ll see are two items that survived the attacks that day – the Survivor Tree (a Callery pear tree) and The Sphere (the world’s largest bronze sculpture of modern times).
- You’ll also see the newest addition to the memorial, the 9/11 Memorial Glade. The Glade represents the workers, first responders, survivors and residents who were exposed to harmful toxins and who have died or are currently living with a chronic illness.
- After paying your respects on the grounds where the Twin Towers once stood, you’ll head into the 9/11 Memorial Museum, which is divided into three main exhibitions, located 70 feet underground. Since private guided tours cannot be conducted within the museum, your private tour guide will give a brief synopsis of what you are about to see before entering the building.
- Once inside you’ll learn the history of not only the September 11th attacks – but of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as well. Thanks to the 9 11 Museum’s dynamic blend of architecture, archaeology and history you’ll experience an unforgettable encounter that includes the story of the attacks, the aftermath, and the people who experienced these events. Your visit to the 9/11 museum is surely one you will never forget and a must-do for anyone coming to New York City.
- Your final stop on your private tour will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center, where you’ll get priority access. After a fascinating elevator ride that has you ascending over 100 stories to the observatory, you’ll be treated to 360-degree views of the New York City skyline and beyond. And that’s not all! You also get $15 to use on food, beverages or merchandise.
- When your time at the One World Trade Center Observatory comes to an end, you’re luxury transfer will be waiting to take you back to your hotel or other predetermined location.
